What's up in December

As December wraps the year in its cold, dark glow, I’m always moved by the contrast of light, warmth, and reflection. This year, I’m creating a pre–winter solstice music gathering, and I’m thrilled to share it with Daria. We invite you to an intimate, immersive classical evening at Treehouse NDSM on Friday 12th December at 20:30. Daria will offer poetic piano repertoire with tea, storytelling, and a movement ritual, followed by my gentle melodic percussion and calming soundscape—an invitation into stillness, renewal, and quiet connection, with a small surprise moment of collective play. With gratwitude to Martina and Samantha for sharing part of the stage with me. And yes—there will be glutinous rice balls made by Gabry, our vegan bear chef. Come join us and warm your heart :)

18th May 14:00-16:00 workshop Play ____@NDSM TREEHOUSE

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about teaching—sharing my experiences, knowledge, and the joy of making music. That’s why I developed a new workshop: Play ____. I provide all the percussion instruments, and it’s an open invitation for anyone to come make music with me in a relaxed setting. No experience needed—just come, play, and enjoy.
I plan to host this workshop monthly to build a community where people can return, connect, and play again and again. I even dream of performing a concert together with this community one day.

At the end of May, I’m heading to Bodø to perform Luna at my friend Sebastiaan Molenaar’s festival, Bodø Beat. We met at Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He organised the best parties back then.I’m so proud of Sebastiaan for organizing this festival for several years now—and I’m super grateful to be part of it this time. Except playing Luna, I’ll also give a workshop about how I create children’s shows and exchange ideas with local artists.
